Meet the Team Behind CoMo Construction

As a founder and owner of Como Roofing and Construction, Alexander Evans combines a strong background in management, real estate, and business development to drive the company’s growth and reputation for excellence. With extensive experience in real estate from property management and deal making,  to deal execution and a robust professional network, Alexander is committed to building lasting relationships and delivering reliable, top-quality solutions for clients. His commitment to servant leadership and focus on integrity have been central to establishing himself and Como as a trusted name in the marketplace.

Michael Shouvlin brings over two decades of Florida construction and roofing experience to CoMo Construction, where he oversees operations, permitting, scheduling, and project execution. As both a licensed Roofing Contractor and licensed Building Contractor, Mike blends field expertise with executive-level operational leadership to ensure every project runs efficiently from start to finish.

Before launching Shouvlin Construction LLC, Mike served as the Qualifier and Vice President for Trinity Contractors. His work at Trinity focused heavily on tenant improvements (TI), commercial build-outs, and specialized upgrades for nursing homes and assisted living facilities. This early foundation in commercial remodeling shaped his approach to project management, compliance, and high-standards execution.

After Trinity, Mike built Shouvlin Construction into a respected production and installation partner for major Florida roofing companies. His teams became known for clean, professional installs, strong communication, and a culture centered around reliability and craftsmanship. In Shouvlin’s early years, he also completed several commercial remodeling projects, giving him a well-rounded understanding of both structural and finish-level construction.

At CoMo, Mike leads the full operational pipeline: job intake, permitting, scheduling, installations, inspections, and quality control. His ability to manage crews, streamline workflows, and solve problems in the field allows CoMo’s sales and development teams to scale confidently while he keeps projects moving and clients taken care of.

A lifelong Central Florida native and proud graduate of the University of Florida, Mike enjoys golf and an active lifestyle when he’s not on job sites. He and his wife, Katie, live in Winter Park with their two sons, Tripp and Thomas.

Vanessa Loayza is the President and a founding partner at Como Construction, where she focuses on driving growth, building strong client relationships, and ensuring every homeowner receives exceptional service. With a background in sales and a passion for helping customers find the right solutions, Vanessa brings fresh energy and a commitment to honesty, transparency, and quality workmanship.

Dedicated to building a company culture centered on trust and accountability, she works closely with the team to deliver roofing services that exceed expectations.

Maurice Campbell is a Central Florida native. Previously, Maurice was the SVP of Corporate & External Affairs at a University.  It was at here that spearheaded the facilities management and construction divisions. He has a passion and a calling for helping others. Maurice enjoys spending time playing golf, tennis, and reading.
